Microsoft Patches Serious Bug Which Potentially Would Allow Remote Access by Hackers

First let me mention that Microsoft has stopped supporting Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 as of January 14, 2020
The patch below is just one example of why you need to upgrade Windows 7 and Server 2008 so patches like this can be installed going forward.

The NSA discovered a bug which allows hackers to potentially gain remote access to your computer or server.  Rather than exploiting this gaping hole for its own use as they have done in the past, it was good to see that the NSA told Microsoft before this was actively being exploited.

This patch was already installed on our client’s servers and we are working to finish any remaining workstations.
If anyone needs assistance improving security, installing patches, etc.  let us know.
