Google Major Change

iStock_000006559222SmallLast year, Google announced you could lose business if your website was not fully optimized for mobile devices. This is because mobile-friendliness has become a part of Google’s algorithm, making websites that are not optimized for these devices appear lower in search results.

Now Google has gone further and eliminated all of the Google Adwords results on the right side.

Previously, Google Adwords customers would display up to 11 ads on page 1, but now it has been reduced to 3 or maybe 4 in cases where Google feels there is a highly competitive term. Google has said that this is related to making desktop search the same as mobile, but of course it really means there is more competition — and therefore cost — to be in the top spots. It also impacts the organic search as the first listing is farther down AND local businesses that used to show 7 at a time now only show 3.  We can help you make the necessary adjustments to get your business back to getting visibility on searches.
